About The Band
KATIE - HAZEL- AVA - IZZY
Been There Done That first embarked on their musical voyage of discovery together as a cohesive Rock Band in 2016. But their origin goes back earlier to when the band members grew up listening to a variety of music genres that played an influential role in shaping their paths as musicians and ultimately led them together. As Been There Done That, they have collectively found their signature sound, and offer something different and unique to their fans by creating and sharing original music they are proud to call their own. Lead Singer - Rhythm Guitar
Ava is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Ava has been playing guitar since she was 7 and singing since the second she could talk!
Ava is a member of her High School show choir, concert choir, and chamber choir. In the spring and summer she plays on her High School softball team.
Some of her accolades include: Opus Honor choir 2017 and 2018, Choir All-State inductee 2019, 2017 Best Female Vocalist (show choir), 2018 Iowa Rocks! Talent Contest - best group vocalist and most recently the co-winner of the "Are You the Voice of the Quad Cities."
Katie plays lead guitar and sings backup vocals. She has been playing guitar for about 5 years after being inspired by her older brother to join the QC Rock Academy. When not rocking out on her Fender Strat, she also plays acoustic guitar and ukulele.
When she is not with the band, Katie likes to hang out with her friends, family, and her favorite dog, Benny. She has been in many different activities and clubs and is now a freshman at an Iowa College!
Izzy plays bass and sings harmony vocals. When she's not at college or practicing with the band she likes to hang out with her friends.
In addition to playing bass you may see her play one of six other instruments. Izzy prides herself in maintaining her bass and helping others with theirs and is learning how to run the back line and sound.
Our awesome drummer Hazel is the youngest member of BTDT. She was just 11 when we got together!
Hazel's life revolves around music. In addition to drums, she plays guitar, ukelele, keys, and she sings. She's never met an instrument she didn't like!
Hazel is active in her high school concert and jazz bands and she sings in the choir.
She's an excellent student, a loyal friend, and likes to exercise, which is a good thing because she's a candy aficionado.
